Robert Pattinson’s baby girl is his life now.
In fact, the Twilight alum is amazed by how much becoming a father to his and fiancée Suki Waterhouse’s 17-month-old daughter—whose name they have not publicly revealed—has changed him.
“I have so much more patience,” Robert told Icon Magazine in a post shared to Instagram Oct. 2 ahead of the issue’s Oct. 14 release. “It’s funny, it’s not even patience; I genuinely enjoy hanging out with babies.”
The 39-year-old added of the change, “That surprised me.”
But that wasn’t the only piece of parenthood that came as a shock, with Robert joking how funny it is to have “real, normie conversations—about things like schools or daycares.”
“It’s so strange,” he continued. “It’s like, there’s this gravitational pull…Like, I have to wear Patagonia puffer jackets and cargo shorts now. I just have to.”
As the Batman actor—who got engaged to Suki in 2023 after five years together—previously shared, patience isn’t the only tangible shift he’s experienced since welcoming their daughter.
“In the most unexpected ways, having a baby gives you the biggest trove of energy and inspiration afterward,” he told Harper’s Bazaar in May. “Ever since [my daughter] was born, it’s reinvigorated the way I approach work.”
For Robert, it feels like he’s “a completely different person the next day.”

“They’ve changed my life, obviously, for the best,” he gushed of his fiancée and daughter. “And they’ve changed me creatively.”
For her part, Suki has echoed his sentiment, especially when it comes to how their daughter is already interested in the fashion world—courtesy of her mother’s work.
“My daughter really loves fittings,” the model told E! earlier this month at New York Fashion Week. “Like when I have something to go to, she wants to come to the fitting.”
Monica Schipper/Getty ImagesFunnily enough, one of their daughter’s first words was actually “fittings.” And while she does love normal kid things like Peppa Pig and Ms. Rachel, she’s more interested in her mom’s accessories.
“She’s constantly making me take off my rings and she loves jewelry and sparkly things,” the 33-year-old shared. “I feel like she loves what I like, so it’s been really, really fun to include her and everything.”

In February 2023, Suki shared rare insight into her relationship with Rob. “I’m always incredibly excited when I see his name pop up [on my phone] or even a text, and I think he feels the same about me,” she told The Sunday Times. “We’ve always got so much to say, and I find him hilarious.”
