Jeremy Clarkson was far from impressed with the halftime show during the FIFA Club World Cup final between PSG and Chelsea.
Chelseastunned the Champions League winners by sailing into a 3-0 lead before the break in New York.
It was Cole Palmer who stole the show with two fantastically taken goals and an assist for new signing Joao Pedro leaving the Parisians shaken.
Due to the tournament taking place in the US, fans were treated to a Super Bowl style halftime show with performances from J Balvin, Doja Cat, Tems, and Emmanuel Kelly.
The show ran over the usual 15 minute break, and fans online were left unimpressed with the duration of the entertainment, none more so than avid Chelsea fan Jeremy Clarkson.

During the show, the TV legend took to X to make his feelings clear, posting: “People of America. So you know. Half time at a football match is for a pie. Not singing.”
It’s not entirely surprising FIFA’s plans didn’t win over Clarkson who has often taken digs at the US during his career, labelling American’s ‘stupid’ on an episode of Top Gear.
The 65-year-old’s post didn’t go down too well with his US audience with one account replying: “It’s not football, it’s soccer… our military budget is 1 trillion a year, your military budget is beans on toast, we do what we want…”
Clarkson swiftly responded: “And you are doing. And the whole world is laughing it’s arse off at you.”
Australian singer Kelly, who is one of the performers, became the world’s first differently abled pop artist to perform in a halftime show.
Speaking before the show via FIFA, he said: “I think the message that’s really important for me to drive across is just loving yourself, loving who you are, embracing the person that you are.

“Music, film, television, and sport are universal languages. And out of those sports, FIFA – football, soccer, whatever you want to call it — is probably the one that speaks every single language in the world. And it brings people together.”
