Lindsay Lohan isn’t letting Taylor Swift take over Mean Girls day without a fight!
Fans of the beloved teen dramedy know that Oct. 3 is celebrated as the day Aaron Samuels asked Cady Heron what day it was. While that day is usually all about the nostalgia for the film, this year it’s been taken over by Swift’s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.
Paying respect where it’s due while still holding onto the crown, Lohan shared a perfectly pitched response on Instagram. In a photo, Lohan is seen with a photoshopped showgirl-style feather on her head, with the messages, “It’s October 3rd,” and “The Life of a Fetch Girl.”
“It’s October 3rd 💖,” she captioned the shot.

Lohan wasn’t the only Mean Girls alum to make the connection. Jonathan Bennett teamed up with United Airlines to make a video about why he loves flying on Oct. 3.
“It’s kind of like my own holiday,” he says to the camera, settling into his seat.
Turning to his seatmate, Bennett says, “Big day today, huh?”
“Yeah,” she replies, decked out in orange and showgirl sparkle. When he tells her, “You know, it’s cool if you want to ask me what day it is,” she motions she can’t hear him over her headphones.
Though she didn’t make mention of Swift, Lacey Chabert celebrated the the fan-favorite film holiday by sharing throwback photos of herself with different members of the cast.
“Happy Mean Girls Day!” she captioned the photos
