Bindi Irwin Supports Brother Robert With Adorable Post of Her ‘DWTS’ Win: ‘Tomorrow, It’s Your Turn’

Bindi Irwin is hoping the Dancing with the Stars mirrorball trophy goes back to the family as her brother Robert Irwin is gearing up to compete in the finals of the ballroom dance competition show.

“Robert, 10 years ago you cheered for me as Derek and I took the @dancingwiththestars mirrorball home,” she captioned a sweet photo of her 2015 win when Robert was around 10 years old. “Tomorrow, it’s your turn.”

“No matter what, always know how proud I am of you and how lucky I feel to be your sister,” she added.

The photo was also complete with their mother Terri Irwinand Derek Hough, who was Bindi’s partner for the season.

Robert’s family has played a significant role in his time on the show as they’ve been supporting his time on the dance floor since the very beginning. Bindi announced in September that she’d be moving to Los Angeles to be there for her brother.

Bindi and Terri have also joined Robert in performances in various dances on the show.

Ultimately, for both Bindi and Robert, their performances and their overall platform on the show have revolved around continuing the legacy of their dad, Steve Irwin, who died in 2006. The two have both dedicated dances to him, while this season Robert has regularly posted memories and heartfelt tributes to his dad during his time on the show.

“Tonight, my foxtrot dance is inspired by my sister and it’s in memory of my dad,” he wrote in a video caption posted to Instagram earlier this month. “My family is everything to me, and I can’t wait for this special night.”

Robert, who has been partnered with Witney Carson this season has excelled throughout the duration not only by receiving great scores from the judges but also by becoming a fan favorite among the audience.

Also competing for the mirrorball trophy are Alix Earle, Elaine Hendrix, Dylan Efron, and Jordan Chiles.

The Dancing with the Stars finale airs Tuesday night in a 3-hour special starting at 8 p.m. EST.
