The singer-songwriter is forever linked to Sinatra because he wrote the English lyrics to one of Ol’ Blue Eyes’ signature hits, “My Way.”
Anka was holidaying in France when he heard a French song called “Comme d’habitude.” He loved the tune and quickly bought the rights to the song.
Back in New York, Anka sat down at a typewriter and pecked out the now legendary lyrics.
He was only 24.

He is the subject of an HBO Max documentary, “Paul Anka: My Way “, which premieres on Dec. 1, and has a new album coming out early next year.
